Welcome to Autumn Wind. We are a thirty person, draft, keeper, Strat-O-Matic Computer Football League. Comprised of thirty teams in six divisions within two conferences, a different coach operates each team. We draft rookies from the NFL’s previous season that are “rated” in the Strat-O-Matic Football Game. Autumn Wind is a keeper league in that we add these rookies to our teams and keep our teams from year to year. August 2004 marks our inaugural season in a venture of friends, new and old, to share a common passion, strategy football.

Autumn Wind is a product of the OOPS (Organization of Pseudo Strategists) face-to-face strategy gaming club started in Southern California in 1968. Beginning in 1969 OOPS started playing strategy football games face-to-face. In 1975 OOPS adopted the Strat-O-Matic Football Game as it’s game of choice. That face-to-face league has played every year since and is in it’s thirtieth season in the Southern California and Seattle areas.

In August of 2004, Autumn Wind was created to provide a multi-beneficial opportunity to OOPS members (past and present) and non-OOPS members alike. First, the opportunity for new members to join our league of quality coaches and highly competitive football gaming. Second, so that legacy coaches who have relocated to other areas outside of Southern California can rejoin the fun that has prevailed over thirty years. Finally, the chance for members with other obligations to participate from home and ease the burden of travel and game length.

The goal of the Autumn Wind is to provide an enjoyable computer football league experience for it’s members through the use of experienced administration and advanced technology.
